Background

Where I Started

I spent my childhood in my family’s restaurant, learning early that aesthetics doesn’t mean "good." A dish can look beautiful, but if it’s cold or late, it’s getting sent back. That lesson stuck with me, you earn kudos for style, but customers come back when you deliver or exceed expectations.

There's always a pivot

When I wasn’t at the restaurant, I spent my days taking apart gadgets and failing to put them back together. I thought I’d be an engineer until calculus made it clear I needed a plan B. One evening, with my mom on the phone in one hand and a fistful of hair in the other, I knew it was time to pivot. I landed in UX design, where simplifying interactions came far more naturally than simplifying equations.

Today

I'm building out high-stakes products that people rely on everyday. I focus on solving the right problems instead of chasing after the "right" designs. The wins I'm most proud of are often the simplest, seamlessly blended into the background as part of the experience but solving challenging problems like AI latency, trust, and edge cases that seem to break everything.

In an era of AI and standardized tools, I believe the real value lies in judgment and systems thinking. I design products and experiences that excel in practice and exceed user expectations.
